Midland accepted into the International Printers Network
Midland Information Resources (MIR), a technology driven provider of content management and on-demand printing solutions, has been formally accepted into the International Printers Network (IPN) - the worlds leading global alliance of companies in the printing, visual communications and graphics arts industry.
With over 50 printing partners in 104 locations throughout Europe, North America, Africa and the Pacific Rim, the IPN provides MIR with access to one of the most comprehensive information distribution channels in the world.
MIR was voted into membership of the IPN at the November 2005 meeting held in Maastricht, Netherlands. After serving 2 years as an associate member, our full membership was accepted based on the value we could bring to this organization - especially our knowledge of the industry and emerging technologies, our digital printing capabilities, our proven quality systems and our international sales opportunities.
Each member of the IPN uses the most advanced telecommunications and information management technologies – ensuring that information is distributed effectively, efficiently and reliably. Each member of the IPN is a proven on-demand provider operating on the leading edge of technology – guaranteeing our customers a cost-effective, end-to-end quality solution.
MIR has already leveraged this alliance with the IPN in the development of a global solution for one of our Fortune 100 manufacturing customers – giving them the ability to provide technical equipment information printed on-demand throughout Australia and Europe. This has not only resulted in savings of international shipping costs but has decreased the overall delivery time to their end-users and international dealers.
By utilizing the network of IPN partners, we have significantly increased our ability to help our customers distribute their information on an international level – eliminating factors that, until now, have made the global distribution of information not practical or economically viable because of:
• Increasing costs and potential delays in international shipping
• Risks of producing work in other countries with unproven print vendors
• Lack of trusted relationship at the point of distribution
• Language differences
• Difficulties in maintaining world-wide corporate quality standards
Using the combined resources of the IPN, we have made a commitment to our customers to provide the widest possible variety of products and services the printing, visual communications and graphic arts industry has to offer - giving our customers the ability to better compete in the global economy!
