Midland Information Resources Awarded Best Workplace in America by PIA

For the third straight year, Midland Information Resources has been nationally recognized with the 2003 Best of the Best award in the Best Workplace in America competition sponsored by the Master Printers of America (MPA).

The MPA, a committee of industry leaders belonging to the Printing Industries of America (PIA), launched its Best Workplace in America Awards Program in 2000 as a way to spotlight the trendsetters among its membership that have cultivated a superior work environment through their culture, philosophies and human relations’ practices.

Again this year, Midland Information Resources received the Best Workplace in America - Best of the Best award, the highest distinction given through this program, along with 40 other companies including R.R. Donnelly & Sons, The Merrick Printing Company, the West Group and Pearson NCS.

The best workplace model is based on six components and judges primarily look for companies that incorporate extraordinary HR practices into their work environment. The six categories are:

Midland was chosen for this award for their innovative HR programs such as the attendance incentive program, their extensive Health Plan, Road to Success program, educational Success by Six program, Community Service involvement with Junior Achievement, United Way, and the Red Cross Blood Center, wellness initiatives and their employee training programs.
