Midland Celebrates 20 Years of Excellence
Midland will celebrate its 20-year anniversary on July 12th, 2002. Founded by Gene Blanc in 1982, his vision for Midland was to provide customers with short-run, quick-turn, one and two color high-quality printed literature and technical publications – a need he identified as being virtually unfulfilled in the printing industry.
Today, Midland Information Resources, the parent company to Midland Press Corporation and Transcend Software, is a leading edge provider of information management and distribution solutions. Our main business strategy is to combine award-winning content management systems with state-of-the-art digital printing, CD-ROM & DVD mastering and duplication and with fulfillment & distribution solutions to solve the communication needs of our customers.

Midland is a great success story. We have grown from 4 employees to over 200 employees, outgrown three production facilities, moved to a 7 x 3 shift coverage to ensure quick-turn capabilities and maximum utilization of their equipment and systems and have continually adapted and expanded our capabilities to stay ahead of the printing industry.
Since our beginning, we have been recognized by our customers and within the industry as an innovator focused on applying new technology to bring fresh solutions to their customers. To stay ahead of the technology curve requires a substantial and continued commitment of capital and human resources. Midland has continued to make this commitment throughout our history.
