Midland Information Resources Earns Best Workplace in America Award given by PIA

Midland Information Resources has been nationally recognized as a recipient of the 2001 Best of the Best award in the Best Workplace in America competition sponsored by the Master Printers of America (MPA).

The MPA, a committee of industry leaders belonging to the Printing Industries of America (PIA), launched its Best Workplace in America Awards Program last year as a way to spotlight the trendsetters among its membership that have cultivated a superior work environment through their culture, philosophies and human relations’ practices.

Midland Information Resources received the Best Workplace in America - Best of the Best award, the highest distinction given through this program, along with 32 other companies including R.R. Donnelly & Sons and The Merrick Printing Company.

The best workplace model is based on six components and judges primarily look for companies that incorporate extraordinary HR practices into their work environment. The six categories are:

    § Training and development opportunities

    § Financial security

    § Personal / work-life balance

    § Recognition and rewards

    § Health and well-being programs

As part of the award, Midland Information Resources will be included in feature articles appearing in Printing Impressions, December 2001 issue and Graphic Arts Monthly, November 2001 special supplement.
